The adapter is already crimped onto the flexible shaft which eliminates the need for you to use a crimping tool.
The flexible shaft is 49.2 ft (15 meters) long and has a shaft diameter of 1/4″ (6mm).
The 1/4″ (6mm) shaft is the thinnest option in our range. While it may not generate enough torque to power heavy duty chains which can cut through thicker root intrusions or solid blockages in a 4″ (100mm) pipe, it is suitable for removing softer blockages or descaling 2″ (50mm) pipes. We recommend using this thickness of shaft in a maximum pipe diameter of 3″ (75mm).
The bend ratio of a shaft determines the minimum pipe diameter that a shaft can pass through. The shafts bending radius should always be less than a 90 degree bend in the pipe that you are cleaning. This ¼” (6mm) shaft is therefore not recommended for use in pipes that are 1” ( 25mm) pipes because the bending radius is more suited to pipes starting from 1,5” (38mm)
This shaft is ideal for navigating tight bends, passing through toilet bowls, or working through multiple junctions in close proximity to each other.
When using this shaft, rather use the lightweight chains, as the heavier-duty chains require more torque to achieve the same results.
